Connie Lee Troutman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Connie Lee Troutman, age 85 of Brookville, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 after a brief illness. Connie was born on September 4, 1936 in Grand Island, Nebraska and soon after was adopted by his parents, Howard and Elsie Troutman. After he graduated from Brookville High School in 1954, he went on to study engineering at General Motors Institute. During college, Connie met his future wife, Marilyn (Dinsmore) Troutman and after marriage proceeded to have two children, Steven and Deborah Troutman. Deborah gave Connie and Marilyn three grandchildren whom he loved very much, David, Lucas and Kayla. After graduating GMI, he worked for General Motors at Delco Moraine, of which he retired from after many years of service. Connie was a man of many talents and hobbies including restoring classic Cadillacs, buying and selling silver coins, and collecting post-war Lionel O Gauge trains. Connie was also an avid lover of science and fantasy alike. He was an avid fan of Star Trek as well as a proud member of the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society. He took his children and later, grandchildren on numerous trips to Walt Disney World in Florida as well as to Sanibel Island for relaxation. Both of these places brought much joy to him and his family and created lasting memories for all to cherish. Connie was preceded in death by his parents: Howard and Elsie Troutman, wife: Marilyn, daughter: Deborah Troutman and grandson: David Hemmerich. He is survived by his son: Steven (Karen) Troutman and grandchildren: Lucas Corder and Kayla Rhoades. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church (25 Westbrook Rd., Brookville) with Pastor Ali Rode officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society. The Kindred Funeral Home, Englewood is handling arrangements.
