David Montgomery Roach, age 84 of Brookville, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. David, a retired librarian from the Dayton Public Library, was Head of the Bookmobile Branch. He attended Holy Family Catholic Church. David was a classical music afficionado. He grew up with classical music and could usually tell you who and what was playing. David also enjoyed making and selling stained glass art work, reading and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Margaret A. Roach, sons: Michael D. (Tian Wang) Roach, Patrick J. Roach, sister-in-law: Patricia Kissling, brother-in-law: Michael (Jeanne Nicolette) McMennamin, nieces: Carol Jacobsen, Kelly (Brian) Hartman, Patricia (Ernie) Pate, nephew: Kenneth Kissling, great nephews and great niece: Eli Pate, Wesley Hartman and Megan Hartman. He was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Mabelle (Montgomery) Roach. A Low Latin Requiem Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church (140 S. Findlay St., Dayton) with Father George Gabet as celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).
