Herbert "Rusty" B. Cousins III

Herbert “Rusty” B. Cousins III, 68 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born April 13, 1953 in Bangor, ME to the late Herbert B. II and J. Elizabeth (Hollis) Cousins. Rusty leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 18 years, Dianna (Link) Cousins, daughters Erin (Nicholas) Ford, Alyssa (Jason) Dail, and Sharon Link; grandchildren Beatrix Ford, Justin Schanz Jr., Elise Schanz and Leah Dail. Also surviving are his brothers Brian (Suss) Cousins, Christopher Cousins, and step-father Peter Scarpignato. He was a graduate of North Yarmouth Academy, Yarmouth, ME class of 1971, was a graduate of Southern Mississippi University and earned his Master’s degree from Troy State University. Rusty retired from the US Air Force in 1991 as a Major; he also was a contract manager with the Dept. Of Defense. All together, Rusty served his country proudly for 42 years. He was a member of Toastmasters, active with WYSO, the local NPR station, and was an avid cyclist. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
