James R. Hackworth

James Richard Hackworth, age 54 of Quincy, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He was a very proud veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Persian Gulf Conflict. Jimmy was a lifetime member of VFW Post #4239 in Sidney. He enjoyed going fishing and shooting firearms. He loved his Ohio teams, the Bengals, Reds, Buckeyes, and was a fan of the LA Lakers. He is survived by his wife of 25 years: Kathy (Wolf) Hackworth, children: Jethro (Rosy) Hackworth of CA, Scott (Sherrye) Lamma of Sidney, Shannon Smith of Anna, father: Richard (Ginger) Hackworth of Huber Heights, brothers: Steve (Tammi) Hackworth of Arcanum, Russell (Kim) Hackworth of Arcanum, Brian (Uma) Hackworth of Jamestown, Harold Dalrymple of Dayton, sisters: Cheryl (Marvin) Smith of Huber Heights, Julie (Tom) Rachlow of Dayton, Bobbi Fickler of West Milton, Jacki Hessel of Dayton, grandchildren: Kristen, Kadyn, Alex, Andruw, Austin, Adriel (on the way!), and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Shirley (Fox) Price. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until the memorial services begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Nate Rapp officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NRA, the National League of POW/MIA families, or to the Scleroderma Foundation.
