Janet E. Lucas Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janet E. (Parks) Lucas, age 87, of Clayton, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022 at Hospice of Miami County. She was born on May 22, 1934 to the late Goldie (Kimmel) and Garland Parks in Eldorado, Ohio. Janet was a Registered Nurse and Office Manager for South Dayton Pediatrics for 40 years before she retired. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. Janet also volunteered as Camp Nurse for the Dayton Boys Club. She is survived by her sons: Michael (Julie) Lucas of Troy, Tedd Lucas of Colorado, John (Joan) Lucas of Troy, Mark (Tracy) Lucas of North Carolina, brother: Darrell (Joan) Parks of Columbus, grandchildren: Jackie (Andrew) Snipes, Justin (Laura) Lucas, Matt (Katie) Lucas, Mollie (Christopher) Suber, Brendon (Jessica) Lucas, Blake (Sarah) Lucas, Bailey (Logan Vosburg) Lucas, special nieces, along with numerous other relatives and friends who she leaves to cherish her memory. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband: Donald E. Lucas, and brother: Wayne Keith Parks. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Clayton Cemetery with Reverend Jay McMillen officiating. Kindred Funeral Home, Englewood is handling the arrangements.
