Kenneth "Ken" Earl Trapp Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kenneth Earl “Ken” Trapp, age 90 of Union, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Ken spent 22 years with NCR working in inter-plant scheduling, and in the gas construction division of DP&L for an additional 23 years. He was a proud veteran having served during the Korean War in the US Navy aboard the LST827. A 75 year member and supporter of the Falcon Club where he had been an avid softball player. Ken loved his family and the time they spent together. “Trapper” was known for his famous fish frys. A friend to many who always greeted you with a smile, he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Mildred A. “Toni” (Coates) Trapp, daughter and son-in-law: Deborah & Keith Koontz of Phillipsburg, sister: Jean Stueve of Indian Lake, grandchildren and spouses: Mandi & Jason Turpin of Arcanum, Dustin & Sara Koontz of Clay Township, great grandchildren: Maddy, Olivia, Claire & Annie Koontz, special niece & nephew: Michelle & Jim Fraley of Brookville, and James M. Finch of Centerville, many other family members and special friends. He was preceded in death by his son: Kenneth Eugene “Kech” Trapp, parents: David E. & Elsie (Oliver) Trapp, sister: Ruth Lightcap, and special friends: Carl & Betty Breitenstein. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Rev. Jay McMillen officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. until time of services. Inurnment will be at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, it was Ken’s wish that memorial contributions be made to the Falcon Club Scholarship Fund, envelopes will be available.
