Larry Lee Huebner

February 15, 1944 - April 15, 2022

Larry Lee Huebner, age 78 of Englewood, Ohio passed away on April 15, 2022. He was born and raised in Wapakoneta, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University, where he met his wife (Judy) of 54 years. He later graduated from Wright State University with a Master of Education. He taught for 30 years, the majority of that time at Trotwood-Madison High School as a special education teacher. He was an active member of Englewood United Methodist Church and recognized the importance of building community through service and fellowship. He loved to sing and spent several years singing with the Melody Men Chorus. He enjoyed playing cards with his close-knit neighborhood card club. He also loved genealogy and spent many hours researching family history. He was married to his wife Judith (Wince) in 1967. They shared a birthday and a life of love and laughter. They traveled to all 50 states, Okinawa, Japan, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a European Cruise, which was a lifelong dream. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his son Chadley and daughter-in-law Jessica Huebner, his daughter Carrie and son-in-law J. Trent Smith, his grandchildren: Gracie, Jack, and Eva Huebner; and Dominic, Finnegan, Linus, AnnaCate, and Rafferty Smith; and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, his parents, Marie and Melvin Huebner, his brother Edward Shockey, and his sister Anna “Tootie” Henry. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Rev. Kim Armentrout officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Inurnment will be at Polk Grove Cemetery.
