Owen Verlan Johnson, age 85 of Englewood, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Owen had retired from General Motors and attended Englewood Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his daughter: Melissa (Paul) Marshall of Englewood; grandson: Jacob Owen Marshall (U.S. Navy); sisters: Lois Baily of Beavercreek and Marie Yost of Kentucky; brother: Glenn Johnson of Florida; sister-in-law: Arminta Johnson of Beavercreek; step daughter: Reva (Thomas) Sawyer of New Carlisle, step-son: Ronald (Vicky) Back of Columbus, step-son-in-law: Bob Hooten, step-grandchildren: Clint, Jennifer, Jesse, Amanda, Jeremy “Jay”, and Jarrod; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years: Gerry Ann (Thomas) Johnson, parents: Arthur and Mae (Rose) Johnson, brother: Arthur Johnson and step-daughter: Cheryl Hooten. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Polk Grove Cemetery in Butler Township.
