Rickey "Rick" Lee Little Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rickey “Rick” Lee Little, age 68, of Englewood, passed away May 31, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 4, 1954 to the late H. Martha (Holiday) and Robert Lee Little in Dayton, Ohio. Rick was an Aerospace Engineer for 37 years, where he designed composite components. He started out as a Machinist and worked his way up to President at Starwin Industries, where he was employed for 38 years. He was a choir & worship leader at Christian Life Center, where he was a member for 42 years. Rick enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, art/theater, he was a “foodie”, and he enjoyed a good glass of whiskey. He appreciated all genres of music, playing the guitar and singing. He was a true renaissance man. Most importantly, Rick was a people person and he loved spending time with his family. Rick is survived by his wife: Brenda G. (Yeary) Little, son: Jeremy Christian (Asia) Little of Nashville, TN, daughters: Jessica (Robbie) Connors of Englewood, Jennifer Rene (Matt) Baker of Troy, step-children: Kier Smiley, Dieter (Becca) Smiley, Katarina Smiley, Alena (Joshua) Williams, grandchildren: Katelyn, Brandon, & Autumn Connors, and Scarlett Baker, step-grandchildren: Marley & Remington Smiley, Kaidence, Maiya, & Josie Mae Williams, siblings: Michael “Mikey” Wayne (Stephanie) Little, Ian Steven (Ruthie) Little, children’s mother: Melody Little, along with numerous other family members and friends. A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd. Englewood, OH 45322). A Service will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Kindred Funeral Home with Rick’s longtime friend, Hirsch Chizever officiating. Burial will follow Rick’s service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Brookville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, Christian Life Center in Dayton, or to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
